This car may look like a regular Saab 9-3 Convertible at your first sight but in fact it's not. This is the Viggen - a very rare, very powerful, sport version of the car. Powered by a 2.3 liter turbo charged 4-cylinder engine, the car has 225 horsepower and just an incredible amount of torque, which allows to accelerate 0 to 60 mph in just 6.4 seconds. Saab has only sold 245 Viggen Convertibles in the whole United States in 2000. The Viggen package includes heavy duty clutch and pressure plate, stiffened and lowered springs, firmer dampers, stronger CV joints and driveshafts. In addition to extra power and torque, it also features a special rear wing (which increased the downforce by 50%), aerodynamically designed bumpers and side skirts, specially bolstered leather seats, sportier suspension, bigger wheels (17" low profile tires), upgraded brakes. The body of the car is in immaculate shape, there are no dents anywhere. The low front bumper has a few scratches at the bottom which remain unseen unless you are under the vehicle. The soft top looks great and operates up and down smoothly with a push of a button. If you then push it again, all four windows will go up or down simultaneously. The front leather seats are heated and have three memory positions. There are some scuffs on the leather but the seats still look very good. The rear seat is only designed to seat two passengers. The tires on the car are brand new 17" Uniroyals, they have less than 1000 miles on it (I drove the car to NYC and back). All four brake pads and rotors have been replaced two months ago. The engine has been treated with Mobil-1 0w40 synthetic oil and works perfectly, starts up every time and does not make any noises. The turbocharger works fine as well. The manual 5-speed transmission shifts smoothly and does not have any issues. There is nothing wrong with the car and it is ready to be driven anywhere. The Kelly Blue Book value on this car with this mileage in "good" condition is $7490. This is a no reserve auction.
