Up for bid is my father in laws 1968 FJ40 Toyota Landcruiser. He has had it since 1973 and it has 94,600 miles on the odometer. In 1985 he installed a 1981 Landcruiser engine, 4 speed trans, and 3 speed transfer case. The only thing that I can find on them said that they had 27,908 miles on them when installed. I can't find any rust, body rot, or dents on it. On the top front of the roof there are some small circuliar cracks that look like where rivets are. (see picture). One place in the drip rail is bent. (see picture). There is a big scratch in the left front fender (see picture), and road rash in front of the rear wheel. ( see picture). Other than that there are nicks and scratches from use. It has been garage kept. The tires are old but have good tread and are on after market rims. The rear rubber fender covers are cracked. It is registered under non op with the state of Calif. Some of the negatives are: The turn signals don't work. The front axle knuckles seep. There is a small leak that looks like it is coming from the trans. The clutch chatters a little starting out in first gear. The headliner is sagging in the corner. (see picture). Some of the positives are: It has a new battery and water pump. It comes with a roof rack, tow bar, 2 gas cans, some tools (sockets and wrenches), a spare u joint and ign. unit, a uninstalled rear heater unit, and a stock jack (with handle and extension). It has Warn locking front hubs and a header on the engine axhaust. It starts right up and runs real good. 4 wheel drive high and low and the brakes work good. It is located at Arcadia, Calif. and anyone that wants to look at it can email me to set up a time. It is being sold as is so please ask any questions that you have. Transportation of it after the auction is up to the buyer but I will be there to help. The Marine lisc. plate on the spare tire does not go with it. Thanks! On Oct-01-11 at 20:31:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Here is a update on the Landcruiser. I thank Mark, a potential bidder for looking at it yesterday. He looked at it inside, outside, and underneath, and then drove it. He found that even though it still works, the fuel pump has a slow drip, and the brake lights aren't working. He saw that the brake master cylinder was almost empty and it looks like a front wheel cylinder has a slow drip. The brakes are still working good but these are a couple things that will have to be delt with by the buyer. A couple of things that I didn't list before that this Landcruiser has are that it has a hydraulic line lock for the brake system and it has 2 gas tanks. The gas guage works on the main tank.
