1940 FORD PICKUP TRUCK: RAT-ROD Rebuildable or RAT-ROD. Purchased at estate sale past year, no time to build or finish. It’s been sitting outside, and I don’t have a covered place to store it. VIN. Number. (no VIN number, can’t find it). FRAME: in Good Shape, (looks good: looks like it’s been cleaned and painted within the last five years. Doors and Cab corners: has Old Bondo, but can still be worked. ORIGINAL FRONT AND REAR END and TRANSMISSION only. (rear end and drive shaft still connected to trans.) Transmissions seems locked. NO ENGINE. WINDOWS: No windows, except Back window and it has small cracks in corner. (see pictures) WINDOWSHELD GARNISH MOLDS: in poor condition. WHEELS: 16” spare (mounted on side) and (4)late model 15” Ford wheels on truck. STEERING COLUMN: has a locked steering wheel. It is currently locked and I do not have a key. (Steering wheel is not hooked up, only placed in truck for pictures.) SOME ASSEMBLE REQUIRED: Fenders (front and back) are not bolted on, nor is Hood attached. (they have been propped up for pictures only). Tailgate: not bolted on, (missing bottom hinge) Bumper: see picture - not attached. MISSING PARTS: NO: Engine, Radiator, Odometer, no”left side” fender Inner panel, rear bumper, left headlight bucket, NO: Hood hinge on right side of Hood. No headliner. NO: Inside door handles: Doors “DO HAVE” all window regulators and door handle mechanism in door. Doors do open and close (good) from the outside. NO: Windshield glass, or side door glass. (I only have what you see in the pictures, I have no additional parts) However, I do have a Camero front clip, and it has not been cut anywhere, and a Front end Power steering box with disc brakes, (everything complete). I also have a Camero rear end, and drive shaft, I will sell all for $300.00 if anyone can use it with this truck. I will assist with loading, it rolls easely.
