Vehicle Detail
This is an all original 1968 Z28 camaro. It is an original California car that was built in LA and was bought in Vallejo. I bought the car about 2 years ago and have done hardly anything to it but detail it and enjoy it. It is the original grotto blue color but was repainted in1981. It has the original deluxe interior in it. The entire interior is original except the front two seats have been reupholstered. The interior is in excellent shape. It has the original 6000 red line tach and console gauges. It has the original sticker on the inside of the glove box that says it came with the 15 inch wheels. It also has the original bumper guards on the rear and has a 12 bolt posi rear end. The rear has leaf springs, 94 leafs) which are original to Z28 cars. The car is also equipped with a M21 transmission and a scatter shield bell housing and has a newer clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. It also has the original 4 piston disc brakes up front. The original motor is gone and it now has a 4 bolt main motor from a high performance 1969 chevy with casting number 3956618. It has been rebuilt and has a little over 400 HP and has a nice cam. It also has the angle plug heads on it. The motor was put in the car in 1981 when the original motor blew up. The car was also completely restored in 1981 and hardly anything has been done to it since. The body is in fantastic shape and all body panels line up great. There are no dings, dents, or rust in the entire car. The paint is showing its age a little and does had dome rock chips behind the wheels. There are a few small spots where the chips have been touched up and it looks really nice. All the glass is good and lines up perfectly. This car runs and drives great and never over heats. It is a great car with a lot of power. It is an older restoration that still looks very nice. I reserve the right to end the auction early due to the car being for sale locally.
