The car is a 1967 MB 280SL. Only about 146 were made in 1967 and all of the books refer to them as 1968. It is a daily driver which runs very well, has new tires, 3 year old canvas, as well as a hard top, and looks good. I have had the car for about 16 years, but the mileage is unknown. Over the years I have replaced the entire braking system, the lifters and followers, the oil cooler and many other items. While the car looks good, it has reached the point where it needs restoration. I am not willing to put the money into a restoration, so the car is for sale. For those of you who know about these cars, the shock towers are in good shape, no visible rust. The shock towers are the only thing that cannot be replaced on this car in a restoration.
