1958 MERCEDES BENZ PONTON BEAUTIFUL CONDITION My rare 1958 Mercedes Ponton 219 is the best around! It did not sell last listing. another chance to win this exquisite car! The photos are nice, but the car looks much better in person.The 219 has been beautifully repainted. Every piece came off the car and repainted with the highest quality paint. The car came from the west coast of the USA and was in great condition before restoration. It was beautifullymaintained over the years.It is a great driving and cruising car. BODY and COACHWORK Totally restored coachwork. New Paint. Highest quality work!Paint is off white that looks greyish tan. This is original color.Very elegant presence. All 4 doors close tight like new. Trunk isas fresh as new. INTERIOR The interior is like new. I did not redo the interior. It must have been redone at some time, since it is in great condition.There are No rips or tears or obvious signs of wear. The seats are pristine dark blue. The dash is original and in great shape.Floors under carpet look like new with no rust.Fresh New Headliner.Original Radio works great! CHROME The chrome is in great condition. The bumpers are New Stainless Steel front and back!The door handles are in good condition however if you want # 1 they should be re chromed.the locks work as they should with the original keys.The Hub caps are in beautiful condition and have also been repainted and polished.Radiator cover is in beautiful original condition. GLASS In like new condition. The windows all operate properly. Original glass in great condition. ENGINE The powerful 6 cylinder engine runs smooth as it should. The transmission is a four speed with an automatic clutch.It has been rebuilt and shifts nicely. Brakes on a dime. New Muffler. TIRES Brand new wide white Coker tires. Less than 100 miles on the tires! I have a considerable amount of funds invested in this beautiful Mercedes. This car will not disappoint. It is a real head turner and I believe it is the nicest 220 Ponton around. To make it perfect I would re chrome a few of the door handles.It needs a dome light cover.
