This is a street legal Allison Dune Buggy family owned since it was built in 1972, my father purchased it from the man that built it. Allison Dune Buggies were considered the "Cadillac" of Dune Buggies because of the thick fiberglass and gelcoat. This car has always been pampered. It is a 4 seater. It has been garage kept and covered, and appraised between $9800-$10,300, and has the original factory gel coat silver metal flake paint in great shape. The Dune Buggy has won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in many car shows and a "People's Choice Award". It has a 1600 re manufactured chromed engine with 3,000 miles on it. The buggy rides nice and runs great at high speeds. It has a custom made canvas cover with zip out sides and back panel. Also has fiberglass lower side panels that were hand painted. The Dune Buggy also has a optional "whip" flag installed in back. There is a chrome rear access door to add oil. It recently passed a New York State Inspection and has a new battery, carburetor, fuel pump and filter,starter, coil, and spark plugs. It has a small oil leak which is typical for VW engines and the choke may need to be adjusted. It has been converted to a 12V system and all electrical has been redone. There are many other things I could list that has been updated over the years, I have all receipts. I have invested over $10,000 into in in the last 8 years.
