Vehicle Detail

I bought this CB750 three years ago for $1500. Most of it was in boxes, the tank was rusted out, there were no pipes on it. Since then I found a good tank and side panels, and had them professionally painted. The color is a candy apple red over an orange flake, very similar to the stock Honda colors but with a finer flake that looks incredible in the sunlight. Many coats of clear protect the finish. There are no scratches, no dents to speak of, and each side panel has all three of their attachment tabs. The paint job is beautiful, I hope you can see it in the photos. New four into two pipes were installed. Yes, the stock pipes are great, but I couldn't justify the expense! The seat was rebuilt and recovered in the past two years. Turn signals and horn work, brake light, all the safety checks. It easily passed inspection this year. The original tool kit still lives under the seat. The chain and sprockets have less than 200 miles on them. There may be pinpoints of rust on some of the chrome pieces, but it is 90 percent rust free. There are rust spots on the swingarm. It has always been stored in a garage while I've had it (and I bought it out of someone's garage as well.) Tires are decent but old. Basically this is a good, rideable machine that could be restored to almost showroom condition. I don't have the time, and don't ride it much any more, so I'd rather pass it on than let the carbs get all gummed up! Copy and paste this link for a short video of the bike starting and running: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvT9j3dHPdA Speaking of miles, I have no idea if the odometer is correct, since the meters came out of a box that at the time contained parts of two CB750s. I took the best-looking pair and put them on. The other set of gauges said somewhere in the neighborhood of 7500 miles. New Hampshire doesn't title bikes this old, so there is no title for it. I will make out a legal bill of sale, and a current registration is available. Terms This is an auction listing, and as such be prepared to actually follow through with the purchase at the close of bidding. Check ahead of time with any wife, girlfriend, or Labrador Retriever that might need a hip operation, anyone or thing that might come along afterwards and tell you that you can't buy it, before you start bidding.Ask questions early and be satisfied that you know what you're getting into. This bike will need more work to become a showpiece, and it will also need regular maintenance if you plan to use it as a daily driver. This CB750 is 35 years old and the buyer should expect reasonable wear and tear, and corrosion, and dullness of formerly polished metal, etc. It's an old bike; know what you're buying. (And please don't leave it out in the rain.) The buyer is responsible to arrange and pay for shipping, or for local pickup. I will be available in and around Winchester, NH 03470 to assist with loading and help with pick-up. I will not box the bike up and send it to you while you send a certified check from Botswana.
