Vehicle Detail
This car belonged to my grandfather. When he passed away around 1969, It was given to my father. Back in 69 this car wasn't wanted and not many people where holding on 8 year old big cars so....... He entered the car into a demo derby, being twenty he welded the doors shut cut the fenders out and welded a roll cage( which doesn't affect the to open and close). On the day of the derby thinking they where cool they drove the car around. By the time the derby started the car wouldn't start ( flooded) disappointed they watched the race from the stands, After the race it started and he drove it home, where he parked it and never touched it again. When building the car he pulled off all the chrome, lights, ect and stored them in the car next to it a 1960 dodge Phoenix. This car has all original engine trans everything, and 10k miles. Like a museum piece this car has never been touched. There are all original pieces like rubber seals under the hood just as it came from the factory. The car has almost no interior the dash is all there all the metal is still there but fabric is all gone. The body and bumpers are totally strait (except where cut out) and most of the chrome has been in storage since 1969. I can get other pics or call me with any questions 928-699-6297 Thanks James On Sep-17-11 at 21:10:54 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE! Good News: This is a factory air conditioned car!!!!!!!. After many, many questions, I went out to look at the car closer and took some more pictures, here's what I found. The floor pans where the feet go, front and rear and the trunk all have rust holes due to leaves, carpet, misc. debris that held water there. The convertible area, as far as I can tell has no rust around it. The fender areas have some surface rust, but no major rust, except where cut. The engine turns, I grabbed the fan and yanked on it and the crank turned. The parts in the other car have some components missing, the 3 major things we have identified that are missing are the: headlights, break lights, and windshield trim. I have a lot of pictures on my phone, if you want additional pictures please text me specially which areas on the car you want the pictures of and I will send them to you. It is too much of a pain to download them onto E-Bay. Thank you for all of your interest and questions! -James
