Vehicle Detail

All original, complete, number matching, TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, except missing one interior rear window crank and the driver front fender chrome. In the family since 1959, this was my Uncles first car, his baby, and his daily driver until late 60's early 70's when it became a weekend and special occasion car. Sometime in the mid 70's the engine was rebuilt and with 280 miles over the road he stopped driving it and claimed he was starting the body work in prep for painting and needed carb work but couldn't find parts at the time. The car was ran and moved but not driven up til the mid 80's. He had the car running in the garage with the over head door open, while working in the attached wood shop, the door prop fell out, the door came closed and he didn't hear it. It wasn't until he started getting dizzy that he realized something was wrong. He made it to the door and got it open a few inchs before passing out. His parents (my grandparents) farm adjoined his property and when he didn't come for dinner and didn't answer his phone they went looking for him. His other car was there and they heard the car running in the garage they found him passed out by the door. He made a full recovery but never ran the car again. In the 90's he found out he had cancer and really became a bit of a hermit I had never seen the car that I could remember in my life. He passed in 1999 I bought the car in 2001 from the estate with the intention of restoring it, but I just dont have the space to work or the time or knowledge to do it myself or the money to have it done. It wasn't until I got the car out of the garage that I saw that it had a dent in the front driver fender. Myself I think he slid it off the road, there was still mud in the wheel wells, dented it and didn't want anybody to know. I think that's why he really stopped driving it not the carb and body prep. I brought it home oiled all the locks and hinges, pulled the plugs, put some oil in on top of the pistons and it has been up on blocks covered ever since. I open it up at least once a year and do the same. The engine and wheels were free when I brought it home but I haven't checked it since. I never found the keys to the car and never asked my uncle about it before he died. I am not up on this make and model but some of my older cousins tell me the car ran like a scalded dog, has an overdrive gear and a flat 8 cyl of course. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them. Shipping or pickup will be up to the buyer. You buy as is no warranty's.
