Vehicle Detail

I acquired a 1959 GMC 1 - Ton Panel van not too long ago. It is a "Stovebolt Classic". The van had the original 265 In-Line Six Engine in it which was running at the time I got it. This Engine was the same one that later became the Blue Flame Engine used in the 1957 Corvette (not 100% sure on year).  The 265 In-Line six engine was replaced by a freshly rebuilt 283 Small Block V8, including a new shifter, new cross member and even a brand new custom built dual exhaust system.  This was the start of a restoration project but unfortunately, due to the end of relationship I no longer have a place to keep working on the car and need to sell it to someone who will appreciate it and be able to restore it. The truck needs a new wiring harness and cable for the alternator. I have a spare alternator for it. You can acquire a new harness for $180 from EZ Wiring or any other custom shops out there.  The van needs things like a new windshield, new locks for the doors, new windows and rear windows for the rear barn doors. Of course, it also needs restorative bodywork done to it - however, the body is pretty solid with no structurally compromised areas. Maybe some new door skins would be nice too, depending on what level of restoration you want to do. The hood is currently in the rear cargo space as it needs hinges. I just purchased a brand new set of hinges for it and they will come with the truck. While the truck can drive or be moved, I wouldn't suggest this as the brakes need to be worked on - possibly repaired. I kept the original Stovebolt In-Line 6 engine and it is sitting in the back of the van as well. The engine comes with the van. The van had been out of DMV's system for so long (About 15+ Years) and so a new title was required for it.  I have the temporary permit for it already and a new title and VIN number were issued for the van.  However the van still needs to get a Gross Weight Certificate. The van is already verified and it is also Smog exempt. If you get the truck, you will probably be listed as the first owner which is kinda cool. The van is currently located in Los Gatos, CA and will need to be towed.  All offers will be considered as I really, really need this thing gone.  The Ex is steamed about it and is on my case to come get "my van" ... or else.   Please note I put in 200,000 miles as mileage was required.  However, I am unable to confirm the actual mileage on the truck at this point. REDUCED PRICE!  I NEED THIS GONE!
