Reluctant sale of 1940 LaSalle four door Touring Sedan. This car has been in my family more than 32 years, and was last started and driven in 1984. It is nearly all original, and will provide someone with an easy and very satisfying restoration. I drove this car about 2500 miles in the first few years I owned it, and enjoyed it immensely. An electric fuel pump and battery disconnect switch have been added. The right rear fender was damaged and removed, but is included in sale; along with a better condition replacement. Also included is a lot of service bulletin and service manual reprints. Right-hand portion of windshield is broken, but not broken out. Note interior photos, especially photo of rear seat armrest in lowered position. Left rear brake was grabbing when vehicle was moved to its current location in 1995. Battery (and spare tire) are currently missing, so engine has not been turned over. Vacuum antenna was operable, but slow. All instruments functioned properly, including radio. Porcelain exhaust manifold is probably the best example I have seen. Tires hold air, but are not suitable for towing for any significant distance. The original wiring with cloth-covered insulation needs to be replaced. Feel free to ask questions.
