Vehicle Detail
This is an original 1970 Charger R/T. It has PS, factory A/C and a console automatic. It has its original matching number 440 engine and matching number 727 transmission. Also, the original build sheet and fender tag are there. I bought the car as a shell sitting on 55 gallon drums from a body shop. The new quarters, floors and trunk pan were already installed. The car was repainted its original color, FY1 Lemon Twist Yellow. The entire engine compartment was stripped when it was painted. Also, the new vinyl roof was put on after the car was painted. The paint under the vinyl was as nice as the rest of the car. The car has new brake lines, wheel cylinders and shoes. Also a new gas tank and fuel lines. The car runs and drives, but still needs finishing. It needs a headliner, tailpipes and tips and some of the gauges and lights are not working. It has the correct exhaust manifolds and a new "H" pipe. I even have the original carburetor for the car, but an ear on the baseplate is broken. This is not a Barret-Jackson special, but alot of time and money has gone into the restoration. It is very difficult to find a documented matching number R/T Charger with good colors for a decent price. My reserve is less than the buy it now, so please be serious if you bid.On Sep-05-11 at 07:39:05 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a few questions, so here is some additional information. The original door tag is on the car and the VIN# on it matches the radiator support which of course matches the one on the engine, transmission, fender tag, build sheet and on the windshield. This car is pretty original. It looks like the exhaust manifolds, intake, air cleaner and that carb are all original. Even the ballast resistor and the bolt holding it on look to be original. All the A/C components are on the car and the compressor is not frozen, but it not all hooked up and so it doesn't work. The original radio is there. The car has new carpeting and tires. The windshield and rear window were removed for the painting and installation of the vinyl roof, which has the 36" between the seams. The fender tag numbers are as follows: V21 V6X 26 END J25 J45 L31 M21 M31 R11 V1X A01 C16 C55 G33 H51 FY1 C6XA TX9 E86 D32 I hope that helps.
