1968 PLYMOUTH ROADRUNNER AS ORIGINAL AS THE DAY SHE WAS BUILT. 383 AUTO. THE REAR END IS THE SURE-GRIP. SHE SHOWS 87326 ON SPEEDO WHICH IS ORIGINAL MILES. NO POWER OPTIONS, WINDOWS, BRAKES, SEATS ALL MANUAL. 4 DRUM BRAKES. EVERYTHING WORKS, ALL GAUGES, WIPERS, RADIO, LIGHTS, RUNS AND DRIVES BUT BRAKES ARE MUSHY. ENGINE STARTS AND TRANS GOES THRU GEARS WITH REVERSE WORKING ALSO. I HAVEN'T DRIVEN VEHICLE ANYWHERE SO THATS ALL I KNOW. COOLING SYSTEM WAS PRESSURE TESTED GOOD BUT CARB LOADS UP REAL FAST AND FLOODS OUT IF GIVEN TOO MUCH FUEL. I DONT THINK CHOKE IS WORKING CORRECTLY. NOTHING IS MISSING ON THIS CAR EXCEPT GAS TANK AND SPARE TIRE. ALL CHROME, WHEEL COVERS, HANDLES ETC ALL THERE, YOU DONT HAVE TO FIND ANY PARTS. INSPECT ALL PICTURES CLOSELY PLEASE AS I SHOWED BAD SPOTS ALSO. I CANT GET THE RIGHT DOOR TO OPEN, I THINK THE HANDLE LINKAGE OR LOCK ROD WAS KNOCKED OFF. HAS THE ORIGINAL JACK, STAND AND HANDLE ALSO. I FOUND 2 BUILD SHEETS, BOTH THE SAME. THE HISTORY IS BUILT IN ST LOUIS, MO. SOLD NEW IN BOONVILLE, MO. GENTLEMAN DROVE IT ABOUT 13-14 YEARS, HE PUT NEW TIRES ON AND THEN ENDED UP NOT USING THE CAR AGAIN. THE CAR HAS "NEW" TIRES FROM 1970'S OR 80'S, STILL HAS NEW NUBS ON THEM EVEN AND HAS SAT ON THOSE TIRES EVERY SINCE, THEY DONT EVEN LEAK DOWN BUT OF COURSE WOULD NOT BE ROAD WORTHY BEING OVER 30 YEARS OLD. THEY LOOK REAL GOOD, EVEN THE SIDEWALLS. THERE IS NO SPARE TIRE. I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM HIS ESTATE IN 2007 AND HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO RESTORE IT. I GOT THE ENGINE RUNNING, EVERYTHING WORKED, GAUGES, ALTERNATOR, COOLING SYSTEM ETC.. DROVE IT ALITTLE BUT BRAKES WERE BAD, REPLACED ALL THE BRAKE LINES WITH USED AND BRAKES WORKED WELL FOR AWHILE BUT MUSHY NOW. THE GAS TANK HAD A HOLE IN IT SO REMOVED IT AND USING A LITTLE GAS CAN IN TRUNK. I'M TOLD A NEW TANK ON INTERENT IS ABOUT $185. HAVENT DONE ANYTHING ELSE. ENGINE RUNS STRONG. VIN TAG ON FENDER WELL. I THINK EVERYTHING IS ORIGINAL, #'S MATCHING, EVEN THE ORIG CARB ON ENGINE. HARD TO FIND A ROADRUNNER STILL IN ORIGINAL CONDITION, NEVER MODIFIED. THE GENTLEMAN HAD A "REVERB" SYSTEM ADDED UNDER THE DASH TO THE RADIO SYSTEM. SEEMS IN 1970 THIS IS WHAT YOU PURCHASED TO ADD DEEP BASS OR "ECHO" SOUND TO THE MUSIC, I GUESS. NOW THE BAD, AS NORMAL MOPARS HAVE RUST ISSUES, THE BEST NEWS IN UNDERNEATH IS GREAT, ALL FRAME RAILS GREAT, JUST THE SURFACE RUST, NO ISSUES. ALSO IF YOU NOTICED THIS IS A STRAIGHT CAR DOWN THE SIDES, NO DAMAGE, NO RUST IN SIDE BODY PANELS. THE BACK WINDOW HAS A RUST AREA ON LEFT LOWER SIDE. SEE PICS. THE TRUNK PAN HAS RUST THRU SPOTS BUT MOSTLY THERE AND USEABLE IF WANTING A DAILY DRIVER. CAR HAS ORIGINAL CARPET NOT REMOVED BUT I THINK THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR PAN HAS A RUST THRU HOLE IN IT. IF YOU WANT A NICE STRAIGHT DAILY DRIVER CAR YOU NEED A GAS TANK, SEATS REPAIR, NEW HEADLINER, TIRES, BRAKES AND A NICE PAINT JOB. IF YOUR GONNA RESTORE THE CAR THEN A DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR PAN AND NEW TRUNK PAN ALSO WOULD BE NEEDED AND NEW CARPET. I HOPE I REMEMBERED EVERYTHING, OF COURSE SOLD AS-IS.
