1979 Honda

For auction is a 1979 Honda XL250 S model. This motorcycle is in good, original condition. Engine runs well and has good torque as is typical for these bikes. I bought it two years ago from the second owner who purchased it in 1982. He removed much of the enduro items and used it as a trail and woods bike. I have the factory turn signal assemblies, headlight with reflectors, speedometer cable and cable stay and a couple of instrument wiring pigtails. Missing is the speedometer assembly and these are available online. Chain and sprockets are fair. Exhaust is missing baffling at the tip but is not very loud. Included is a new lead/acid 6 volt battery that has not been filled or charged. 5 speed transmission shifts well and the brakes work good too. Recent front tire and seat cover. Also comes with tool kit and Clymer service manual. I have a clear Alabama title from the second owner and have not done anything with it. I did not intend on putting the bike on the road and have not transferred it over. This is a great trail bike or would be a good candidate for a restoration project. There is a reasonable reserve. If sold, a pay pal deposit of $250.00 is required within 24 hours of auction end. The balance is due within seven days and is payable by cash or USPS money order at time of pick up.
