Vehicle Detail

I am presently liquidating a large percentage of my car collection for a variety of reasons. The main reason is to raise cash fast to expand my business. Another reason for this particular vehicle and a couple others is that it is just to perfect to drive. This is the fourth time I have built a car to nice to drive. I always promise myself when starting a project that I will not do this but sometimes I just go overboard. When I do, I wind up with a gorgeous car that I am afraid to take anywhere for fear of getting it dirty, getting a nick in the paint, yadda, yadda, yadda. So it winds up sitting in the garage untouched. I'm not saying this is a 100 point concourse car but it is way beyond driver status. This TD is in prestine condition!. The car was just recently fully restored 3 months ago,the pictures speak for themselves the car needs nothing and is a blast to drive, i currently own sevral other td's and this one is the cleanest that i have found yet! ALL electronics work like new car runs and drives down backroads and highways with out any problems what so ever. the car goes thru all gears with out any issue's its a very reliable car ready for what ever you can throw at it weather it be cross country trips or local car show's this td is ready! my loss your gain the new owner of this peice of history will enjoy it very much.On Sep-06-11 at 09:41:06 PDT, seller added the following information: ATTENTION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had one of my employees list this car for sale for me to save time. I just reviewed the auction and the dscription and photos are lacking. I spent 2 years and countless thousands doing this frame off restoration. Everything on the car was removed and either replaced or refurbed during the restoration. This car is absolutely 100 %. All wood panels were replaced with new from Moss Motors. I have a complete book of receipts from Moss that will go with the car. Also replaced were all the hydraulics. Brake master and slaves plus all four dampers. All were source from Apple Hydraulics of NY. Interior is also 100 % new, also from Moss. All chrome is closed to perfect as is the new Lexus Pearl White paint. The entire front end is completely rebuilt at substantial cost and all bushings replaced with poly-urethane. I probably have close to 2000 hours into her and she is gorgeous. I have driven the car less than 100 miles since complete and she drives perfect. Inspections and test drives are welcome and encouraged. You will be hard pressed to find a finer example. While I do not consider this a 100 point concour car, it would take very little to make it one. The only detractors are a couple minor scratches from opening and closing the hood on the fenders and several other very minor blemishes. I cant even remember what they are, but I have been to plenty concour shows and those guys are absolutely insane when it comes to perfection. This car will have no trouble taking first place consistently at our local car shows. I cannot begin to express just how perfect this car is without you, the bidder, knowing me better. When I describe this car as “NOT” a 100 pt concour car, anyone other than those actually judging or competing in a concour forum would not know this. I would put this car up against the best you find in car shows across the country and it would be a standout. To list each and every detail of what was done during the restoration would wind up reading like an ssembly guide for the 1953 MGTD. No part, no matter how small, was overlooked during the restoration of this car. A few years ago before the econmy went to crap, this car would easily bring 35-40k. I know values have dropped over the past two years, but the quality of this car has not. With less than $1000 and a little attention to detail, this car wil be a 100 pt car and then it will truly be “Undrivable”. She is already a trailer queen. I hate that. I love to drive, not stare. This is the fourth time I’ve done this and I will not again. I have another 53 TD “Driver”. Nothing on the car is perfect and I love it. I am in Vegas all week. I will have my guys take a butt load of photos from every conceivable angle so you will be able to see exactly what I am trying to describe here.
