Vehicle Detail
Florida car for 23 years, never seen salt. Recent 3800 Supercharged V6 swap with new gaskets, oil pan and AC compressor. Car runs strong and is very fast, approx 250 HP. New KYB shocks, poly bushings, 1" lowering ball joints, fuel pump, sending unit I have put approx 1100 km on this car since the recent swap. Most of the original exhaust is retained (including catalytic) and the trunk has not been cut. Unlike most cars in Canada and the northeast US, this one is not rusted, and has good frame rails, trunk suspension, etc. The interior is average, with some warping of the center console from Florida sun. Supercharger oil and coupler have been changed. Motor is stock from a 98 GTP with approx 50,000 km since a rebuild according to the owner of the GTP. I have seen receipts but cannot verify them. The Good: most important of all, this is not a rust bucket, so it is worth working on. Paint is 9 out of 10 with very few blemishes, cold AC, fast and fuel efficient car, good dew wipes, straight body panels clean underneath. Engine sounds mean and the car gets lots of compliments. Interior is good except for a couple of easily changed warped plastic parts. Seats and dash are good, practically no rust in engine bay, suspension, frame, floors, gas tank, etc. The Bad- intermittent lean code, the passenger side window motor is noisy, and there is some slop in the tilt steering, stereo doesn't work, trunk seal is ripped, windshield has discoloration from sun This is not a show condition car or swap, but it is a good driver that needs very minor work. Since the swap is very recent, I expect the next owner will need to make adjustments once the wiring, hoses, exhaust, have settled in place. The odometer reads 108,000 miles on the chassis. It is very simple to import older cars like this back into the USA. This is a 23 year old, customized vehicle so please keep this in mind when bidding. ; There is a lot of good info available on internet forums on how to customize and maintain these cars. You are welcome to inspect it at any time (near Barrie, Ontario). There are no warranties of any kind expressed or implied, so please bid accordingly. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. All sales are final so please do not bid if you don't have "play" money lying around for toys like this. This is the last year of the Fiero with an improved suspension, steering, and with the supercharged 3800 motor, the car's performance can match its' looks. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I will assist and am willing to store the car for up to 60 days after payment has been received. It is a lot easier to cross the border back to the US with a U-Haul trailer than to use a broker, and a pickup truck or full sized van can tow this car no problem. I am also willing to drive the car to the Canadian side of the Buffalo or Detroit crossing for you to pick up if you pay for my gas. A non refundable deposit of $2000 is due within 24 hrs of the winning bid. You can hear the engine running at the short video clip here http://s1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/cam-a-lot1/White%2088%20Fiero%20GT%20SC%203800/ Any questions, please call 905-806-3357
