Vehicle Detail

Selling a 1958 Pontiac Chieftain 4dr.sedan. I am the second owner, bought this vehicle July, 1975 with only 22,210 miles. The lady bought this vehicle new, three years later her vision went, so she parked it in her heated garage until I purchased it in 1975. The car is slightly modified. It has 15" Crager chrome wheels...Has a power antenna (Audiovox) in original position....has am/fm 8track in a Corvair bezel under dash (original am radio in dash works)....Pontiac tri-power on original engine (370 cu.in.)....front disc brakes (have all original brake parts)....removed all identification emblems (except grille badge)...Optima battery....power seats (from 1965 Bonneville).....painted optional 'summer' colors (have original color chart)...electronic ignition (can easily be changed to original points/condenser)....trailer hitch (pulled a 12ft. pop-up camper for vacations, where almost all of the miles accumulated), and dual exhaust (original manifolds). Car is very solid (see pictures), the only body filler is small amount where emblems and stars (on rear quarters) were removed. All original glass, stainless steel, body, drivetrain (except tri-power)-runs very well. Everything done in last 30.000 miles or less; ball joints, front and rear springs, front and rear shock absorbers, all brakes, including brakes, calipers, rotors, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, lines and hoses-tires, wheels, all coolant hoses, carburetors rebuilt. Front fender spears rechromed, rear and front bumpers(and associated parts) rechromed, left front parking light housing and headlight bezel rechromed, radiator reconditioned, transmission rebuilt, and seats reupholstered ( close, but not exact material), carpet. Car has never been in snow and very little rain. Now the downers; could use headliner (all there but stained), windlace around doors (frayed), needs spare tire (have rim), was painted about ten years ago (semi-professional)-looks good but getting thin in spots, backup light chrome pitted, taillight chrome webbed, door interior panels (front) need some repair. Runs and drives nice-drove to Auburn Auction last 4-5 years. I think I covered everything-if there are any questions, please ask. We will be gone Sept. 17th to 25th (vacation), any other time within 30 days of auction close to pick up will be fine.
