This car was purchased by my late father in 1977 which made him the 2nd owner. My brother kept it in good repair all these years. About three years ago the 'big-block' engine, 454 cubic inch, was rebuilt with all moving parts replaced. The work was done by Jasper Engine rebuilding of Indianapolis (see their website at........ (http://www.jasperengines.com/gas-engines.php) Since the engine rebuild it has been driven less than 3,000 miles. The rebuild and installation cost in excess of $4,000. Two years ago a new paint job was put on it by Maaco Auto Painting & Bodywork, but that was not an expensive one. Since my father passed away in 1983 my mother drove it only in her own neighborhood to visit a supermarket while she could drive. For the past three years the vehicle has been kept at Premier Auto & Boat Storage in North St Louis , indoors where the staff starts the engine on a monthly basis. As I no longer live in Missouri and utilize it for just a few weeks when visiting family in St. Louis during the summer, it's time to let it go to someone who will take good care of it. This classic Oldsmobile 98 Regency always gets a lot of attention whenever out on the road. It will surely be a big hit at 'Cruise Night' type events for old car fans. For those so inclined, because it is a big block engine, it could also tow a trailer with ease. Last summer in late July, just before I put it back in storage, the Compressor ceased working and therefore must be replaced. Naturally I'll make a price adjustment for this for whomever is the successful bidder for the car. Also, this particular vehicle is a rare two-door hardtop.
