Vehicle Detail
2004 Ford Excursion XLT 4x4 Our family recently adopted three sisters that were in foster care, to keep them from being split apart. It was a very difficult decision because of the enormous physical, mental, and financial committment, as we already have three of our own children. Almost immediately after the adoption, we found that one of the girls had a medical condition that requires her to be monitored around the clock. My wife stays at home to take care of the kids, and homeschool two of them. This auction is truely a no reserve auction, starting at $1. We have had to incur a lot of debt, and everything we make on this vehicle is going to go towards paying that debt down so we can get our budget out of the red. I have decided that I'm going to leave our situation in God's hands at this point. We own this vehicle free and clear, and it is a rock-solid, reliable Excursion. The bottom line is that if we don't sell it, we won't be able to make our payments on our other obligations. Please consider this if you are considering a bid on this vehicle versus another. Thank you for taking the time to read this. On to the vehicle description! You are bidding on a 2004 Ford Excursion XLT 4x4. They stopped making these in 2005, so this is one of the newer ones. It has about 172,000 miles, but may vary slightly because we are currently driving it. The miles are mostly highway miles. The steering is still tight and everything works. The only reason we are selling this is my wife wanted the diesel model. We certainly don't need two Excursions, so we're selling this one. We have owned this truck for two years and it has been a great family vehicle. This Excursion has the Triton V8 Gas Engine. A/C is plenty cold which we've proven with the 114 degree high temps the past two weeks!! The heat also works well. The 4 wheel drive engages every time and has never missed a beat in the little bit of snow and ice we have had it in. The engine runs perfectly, steering is tight, transmission shifts well, and it's a rust-free mid-south truck. We've taken this Excursion on at least four trips that were 1500+ miles each and we never had to second guess the reliability. This truck is solid. If you're in the Northwest Arkansas area, I encourage you to come check it out. We have taken very good care of this -- kids were only allowed to drink water in it, no sodas, etc. We VERY rarely had any type of food or snack in it, and when we did it was because we were on a trip and made it a point to get nothing that could make a mess if it was spilled. This truck is well maintained and ready to drive. Nothing irritates me more than an online auction where somebody states that, and then you buy the product only to find all kinds of crap wrong. That is NOT the case here -- come and look. Even though this has been listed for sale for a few weeks, I changed the oil when it was due last weekend. Bid with confidence. The NADA and Kelley Blue Book retail values are both around $12,500. This is the XLT model which includes the following features: Features: Cold Air Conditioning Rear Air Conditioning Luggage Rack Power Mirrors Techometer Several Auxillary Power Outlets (2 in front, 2nd row, 3rd row, rear) Dual power seats 8 Passenger Third Row Seat Child Safety Locks Tilt, Cruise Leather Steering Wheel Front Center Console 8 Drink Holders Running Boards Dual Air Bags Anti-Lock Breaks Keyless Entry Keypad Entry 4-wheel Disc Brakes Front Tow Hooks Factory Towing Package Trailer Break Controller 4-wheel drive Full size Spare Tire CD Player Rear Audio Control This Excursion is in very good shape. There is a small ding in the front bumper, a small scratch in the rear "barn door", and a very small scratch in the front dash. Each of these is barely noticable and I made sure I included clear photos of these. Other than these very very minor things, you'll be hard pressed to find any door dings, etc on this vehicle. It has been well cared for. We take care of our stuff, and when we're out around town, always park at the back of the lot. The photos should be pretty much self explanatory. $500 down payment is due at the end of the auction with cash payment in full due when it's picked up. As with any vehicle auction, the $500 is non-refundable if you do not go through with the purchase, unless you find that I have not described the vehicle accurately. This vehicle is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells to a local buyer. This vehicle is in Lowell, Arkansas. I can deliver it a reasonable distance for $1.80 per mile, but payment in full will be required in advance if I deliver. Thanks for looking!! Note: I want to add a quick note about the Autocheck results. I'm not happy with their records because the records are not accurate. The information regarding the lien mentioned is NOT accurate. There is NO LIEN on this automobile. I paid cash for this two years ago and registered it with a clear title that I have in-hand. I never financed this, and had no problems registering it. I purchased it from an individual in Fort Smith, AR, so rest assured, this is not a "rebuilder" truck. If you inspect it in person, you'll see that there's no new paint or body parts or anything like that. Also, the minor accident listed when the vehicle was new is the small ding that I mentioned that is in the front bumper (again, see photo). Buy with confidence, this is a great rig. Thanks for looking! Here are some photos of the Excursion:
