Up for Auction is my 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera. According to the title history I am the 4th owner and this Porsche has never been in a flood or accident. I have a clear Michigan title in my name. Car runs and drives very nice, has updated removable face stereo which includes Single Disc CD player and MP3/IPOD plug in front port. The original Blaupunkt Radio is included in the sale of the car. In the pictures you will see it has newer Porsche rims, I also have the original 911 black center rims in excellent shape that are included in the sale. Last week I was doing general maintenance and I replaced the battery with a factory correct specified 850cca Interstate Battery. As you may or may not know the 1987 Porsche 911 is highly in demand as it maintains the early 80's body style with the whale tale but has the upgraded G50 5speed manual transmission. I purchased this car on a whim in March of this year as the owner was moving out of State. Previous owner replaced the Clutch, flywheel and pressure plate in October of 2010. Also while in the shop I am told a major service was performed which included adjusting the valves. The engine is 3.1Liter 217 hp 6 cylinder non-turbo. The car has 117,000 original miles and it drives like a go-kart on steroids. Lots of fun to drive! Car has always been garage kept with a soft car cover and the cover will be included with the sale. The previous owners were just like I am, if it even looks like there is a hint of rain the garage door does not open. The car is air and oil cooled and it has only been run on Amsoil full synthetic oil. In case you have not had an air/oil cooled car you will discover they do use a little oil however I have yet to have to add any oil and there are no spots on my garage floor. I purchased a high performance brake upgrade kit which included front and rear slotted and cross drilled rotors from Germany and EBC High performance Red brake pads front and rear. I have not yet installed the new brake parts but they will go with the car. Current brakes are good. Tires on the car are okay now but I had planned on replacing next spring. The original rims have tires that from my view point are usable but I would not trust them in the rain. Although not driven in Winter I have used the heat in the early spring and it works very well. Of course the AC system is still R-12 and not the newer R-134a refrigerant. I have cycled the AC on and off but always run with the windows down and the sun roof open. There is one item that does not work and that is the cruise control. The cruise control cable is broken and I traced it to where the cable connects at the throttle linkage. I have not looked into replacing it since I personally don't need it but it seems to be an easy fix. Options on the car included: Power driver seat, power drivers mirror, power windows, power sunroof, power door locks. Have the original spare tire that has never been used and the factory equipped air compressor to inflate the spare tire. I have the original owner’s manual in the original pouch.
