Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This classic Jaguar has not been driven since 1990 when a cylinder head stud broke. It has been covered and stored in my garage ever since. The engine is not frozen and does crank over, but it has not been started. I consider it unsafe to drive until all systems and parts have been inspected, appropriately repaired or replaced “as needed” and deemed reliable, safe and road worthy. Other than a couple of minor scratches on the passenger door and a small, 2 inch diameter section of the trunk, the paint and body, overall, are excellent! On the left side of the trunk where it meets the fender, it appears that a chemical penetrated the car cover and cause the paint to lift exposing the primer (see photos). The body has no dents that I can see. There is a small indentation on the corner of the left rear bumper 1 inch long and 1/2 inch high (see photo). Exterior chrome is in very good to excellent condition. The leather seats are in very good condition and need cleaning. A 3-inch long repair was made to the leather on one of the rear seats. The beautiful wood trim on the dash is in excellent condition. The top clearcoat finish just needs to be removed and refinished. A 4-inch long repair was made to a split in the vinyl dashboard on the passenger side. Headliner needs replacement. TERMS OF SALE (NON-NEGOTIABLE): Vehicle is being sold “as-is” with no implied warranties. Please e-mail me with any questions you may have prior to bidding. Sale is final, no returns. Non-refundable deposit of $200 required within 48 hours of auction close. Failure to pay the deposit will void the sale. Full payment required within 7 calendar days of auction close. Out-of-state buyers should check their state title transfer laws before purchasing to ensure they can meet the title transfer requirements of the sale. Buyer to pay costs to have title sent to them and cost to return a copy of the official transfer paperwork to seller to facilitate release of the vehicle for transport.) In the event the buyer fails to pay the full purchase price within seven days of the auction closing, or fails to provide proof to the seller that the title has been transferred within 10 days of the clearance of full purchase funds, the buyer will forfeit the nonrefundable deposit of $200 and the seller shall retain the deposit as liquidated damages.
