Vehicle Detail
1968 Chevrolet Nova. Better known as the start and introductory of the new Chevy II body style. The 1968 Nova's had alot of one year only items versus the 1969-72 Novas that used the same body style which make them a little rarer and more desireable. This particular Chevy II from what I was told was originally an SS car that someone cloned into a Yenko tribute car. I'm advertising it for sale as a regular 1968 Chevrolet Nova since I don't have any documenation stating it's true authenticity and don't wanna mislead anyone or listen to peoples opinions or non sense comments. It has a freshly rebuilt 427 big block pushing close to 600 HP attached to a M22 4 speed munice trans. Both the motor and trans where professionally rebuilt and have less then 1000 miles. Car never runs hot and will stay at 200 degrees in bumper to bumper traffic on a 90 degree day. Motor combination is setup perfect for cruising but yet also has the power to get down to business when you feel the need for speed!! It's has a mint black bench seat interior with original dash including the originally ash tray (normally always missing cause they broke). All the interior trim and seats are very nice including the headliner. The exterior of the car is very nice as well but keep in mind this car was built to be driven! It has a few paint flaws (very small imperfections) here and there from cruising it and just normal wear and tear over the years. All the trim on the car is nice as well. Again there may be an imperfection here and there in those as well since this car is over 43 years old. All the glass is good and free of any cracks. The frame was professionally tied up so the car is stout and straight. From what I can tell, all the body panels seem to be all original. Trunk is solid as a rock and the floor pans present themselves the same way. Car was originally undercoated when new so that helped to fend of the cancerous Midwestern winters. It has the original 1968 doors on it (door lock post is about an inch from the rear of the door). The car is shown with a set of old school SS cragar wheels (each one has slight surface rust showing) but it also comes with a set of freshly restored SS wheels commonly found on the 1969 SS Camaros and Chevelles. I also have a set of 14" steel wheels for those of you that are interested in going after the Yenko or Copo look with the car that can go with it as well. Original jack and tire is still in the trunk. I even have a set of original front mats for the car. Car currently has a 1970-72 Style bumper on it but I do have the original 1968-69 bumper as well as the correct marker lights. This car is alot of fun to drive and very reliable!! It's been a yearly participant of the Woodward Dream Cruise since they started the event and has also cruised the infamous stretch of Telegraph road known all over America. Man if this car could talk! Pure Detroit Muscle at it's finest! Please feel free to contact me at 248 755-4024 to schedule an appointment to see the car in person or to answer any further questions you may have.
