For Auction is a 1973 Mercedes 280 sedan. It is in beautiful original condition and was meticulously maintained. I have taken a lot of pictures to fully represent the car so please look. Photos are available for viewing at: www.photobucket.com/73mercedes280 This car still has it's original paint which is in fantastic condition for a forty year old paint job. The paint does have a few small chips and door dings. Pictures tell the best. The interior is in great condition and is a ivory white color. The original radio is still there and in perfect condition. The radio turns on and the speakers make noise however I believe the antenna needs attention or perhaps a fuse is out. The dash has no cracks and looks practically new. This car does have the sunroof option which operates just like new. All of the gauges work as well as the lighting behind them. every knob functions like it should and looks great. The courtesy lights work and even the fasten your seat belts warning light works. The seats have no tears or seam rips and the carpet is nice as well. The headliner is great and all of the rubber and seals are nice as well. The windows are power and they all operate. The heater works as well as all of fans and switches for the ac. The ac does need the compressor to be functional. All of the driving lights are fully operational as well. The horn works like new. Even the glove box light is like new. The engine runs great and is very clean with no grease. The transmission shifts well and the ride of the car is smooth and quiet. The tires are new. There is no rust to speak of at all except below the battery tray. This car has never been in an accident and holds a clear title. The trunk still has the rubber liner as well as the spare and the tool kit. Also there is an abundance of original manuals and brochures as well as service records as you can see in the pictures.
