This is a 1997 Ford F250 4x4 Pickup seized by the Milford Police Department (DE) during a criminal investigation. The vehicle was awarded to the City of Milford by the Superior Court of Delaware and there is a clear title in hand. This vehicle was running when seized but has been in storage for several months. The vehicle currently will start and drive. It appears to shift fine, and the engine runs well. As this vehicle was never in service for the City of Milford, the details regarding the maintenance and mechanical history of the vehicle are limited. Vehicle interior is dirty, and the ashtray is broken from the mount. The radio is aftermarket. It will light up but does not emit sound. Windows and door locks work however the ignition key will not turn in the door lock. Unknown if locks have been changed or if they simply need lubrication. Vehicle has a Power Stroke Diesel engine with dual tanks. It is unknown if the electronic switch used to switch tanks actually works. Exterior paint is glossy however there are many scratches and dings. There are rust out spots above the LR and RR fenders which are pictured. Tires have tread but appear to be below the 2/32 minimum tread depth required to pass vehicle safety inspection. Wheels are aftermarket and all are the same however they are dirty and starting to pit and rust. With a bit of work, this vehicle should clean up nicely. Just to note, there will be no repairs, adjustments, or inspections of this vehicle prior to or after the sale. Vehicle is sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER. The vehicle may be inspected at 400 NE Front Street, Milford DE Mon-Fri BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. The City of Milford will NOT end the auction early to make a private sale. They cannot accept credit cards and they do not finance. Full payment is due within 14 days of the end of the auction. Vehicle must be removed within 14 days of the end of the auction. The City of Milford accepts personal checks (restriction apply), Cashier Checks, Money Orders, and Cash. Buyer must bring whatever is necessary to remove the vehicle. The City will not provide towing, chains, straps, rope, ramps, or any other item to move the vehicle. Please do not ask.
