1999 BMW 540i auto w/ Salvage title 74000+ on the body 44000 miles on the engine ( please read explanation below ) I am a second owner of this vehicle and it's been in my possession since 2002. Bought it with 18,000 miles and after a front left collision ( car fax shows rear which isn't accurate, I'm still searching for the picture of the damage ) Car was fixed properly, I planned to drive it for awhile and I did. In 2004, with around 30K miles, engine had to be replaced due to hydro-lock of the engine ( as per BMW technician ) It was replaced with brand new engine from BMW dealership for $16,000 plus work. Interior is nice with no rips or damage, I would rate it 8 out of 10. Exterior need some attention, I would rate it 6 out of 10. Wheels have curb damage. It's a solid car that served my family for almost 10 years. Good things: Genuine black hella taillights Genuine BMW front angel projector lights ( no HID ) Genuine 17" AC Schnitzer wheels Eibach lowering Springs ( 2010 ) Eibach Front Anti-Sway Bar ( 2010 ) Eibach Rear Anti-Sway Bar ( 2010 ) Pioneer Avic D3 DVD Navigation Replaced wooden trim with black Black Grill and sidemarkers Shocks replaced in July 2011 Thermostat replaced in July 2011 New Rotors in 2010 Things that need attention: Airbag light is on ( clock spring needs to be replaced ) $50 Control Arms need to be replaced $300 Both rear windows need motor replaced, they do not open Front windshield weatherstrip needs replacement Front grill needs replacement Cup holders need replacement There are chips on the hood and bumpers ( please see pictures ) Paint on the hood is cloudy, there are dings and scratches, especially driver side fender, work of a vandal - thanks.
