Vehicle Detail

1969 Cougar covertible, nice car, mostly original, numbers matching, everything works except gas gauge which works sometimes(probley a wire), paint is newer but done a little sloppy ( on the chrome here and there), top works great, a/c still works but could use a charge(cool but not cold) 351 windsor, auto tranny, no leaks, drives great and fast, steering good, brakes good except emergency brake needs adjusting, interior pretty good with the driver seat needing a little love. Most of the chrome needs polishing( dull, or has dimples), front bumbper could use to be rechromed. Underside looks pretty good, a few small rust bubbles on body and looks like a little bondo by the rear tire. Basically a nice driver or cruiser that needs a little attention before I would drive any great distance. Only driven 4000 miles since 1990. Alot of new parts but still needs a few things to be a dependable cruiser. As is and must be picked up and is roadworthy locally. Pay pal or cash only!! On Aug-03-11 at 17:18:24 PDT, seller added the following information: We drove car today to Daytona and it did fine. About 120 miles total. A real blast to drive and got alot of attention on beach, drove from Daytona up to Ormond on beach. The only things I noticed was a slight click in steering and when I looked under while my daughter was turning wheel I noticed one of the bushings on the sway arm was a little shrunken and cracked. Did not affect steering in anyway but could use some grease and then the pass valve cover looks as if it may have a very small leak. No other leaks what so ever. Everything else worked great and we had car at 85 on interstate. The old carb, new valve covers and gaskets, and a few misc items will go with car. I had the front checked out and lubed and they said it was good for now. the old valve cover has crack by bolt. Had it out today again for a couple of hours. Runs and drives great!!
