This car belonged to my father who has passed away on March 24th , he was 75. 18 months ago my father called me saying he needed help because he wrecked his Oldsmobile and they took his license. At the time I owned a 75" St Augustine trawler in the gulf of Mexico,, home port of Ft Myers Beach Florida; after realizing my fathers condition I sold my business and came to take care of him. Three months later he was diagnosed with late onset Alzheimer disease. This is his last Cadillac it is almost 100% restored. He purchased it in 1997 with 103,020 miles the receipt my father got says 3,020 miles the odometer now says 5,222 I personally have driven it about 150 miles. the actual mileage is 105,222, he paid $6,500.00, he took it to his friend an instructor at Clover park Vo-tech school and it spent over 18months there where the instructor did all the work, not the students. From all the receipts I can show you every thing that was done including the entire drive train was gone through, engine, transmission and rear axle. It was re upholstered and painted with the original colors, some of the rubber was replaced and a new top was installed. The receipts add up to about 6,000 dollars. the car is not in perfect shape but very close, in 2001 I visited dad for a couple of months and built him a new two car garage for his 1956 Plymouth and the Caddie, before that he had to rent space in a neighbors garage to store it. In 2008 I visited dad and saw the car had not been driven for quite some time so I took it out and drove it and started it up regularly, until I went to Florida and started my shrimping business. . The tires are OK but I would replace them as soon as possible. all the power seats, power windows, the original am radio, all work .also the original hub caps are in excellent condition and included (stored in the trunk).The top is in exelent shape and the mechanism works perfectly. Buyer must pick up or pay for delivery and make all delivery arrangements. the car will stay stored for up to two weeks after purchase is complete.
