Here is my 1968 Camaro convertible RS with power top with butternut yellow paint. Last painted in the 80's, lots of little dings and scratches but still looks great with a coat of wax. A 327 engine, original, rebuilt mild in the 90's... was told from the guy I bought it from he had put less than 800 miles on it since the rebuild. I have put maybe another 750 on it since I bought it last year. Transmission is a manual 5 speed, not original (of course). It is a Doug Nash 4+1. When I bought the car last summer I had the transmission rebuilt and new clutch and throwout bearing put in it as well. This summer I installed power steering, it is a second generation box so the car drives like a more modern car. I also had the seats re-upholstered last winter, it's not stock but looks and feels great as the seat foam was rebuilt as well. This summer I rebuilt the power top hydraulic pump and replaced the rams that operate the top. Works well. I also replaced the shocks and the starter with a heavy duty model. The battery was just replaced too. The passenger side door pin switch shorted and left the internal lights on and killed the old battery. I replaced the switch and now leave the battery disconnected when not driving the car. As far as the rear, it is a 10 bolt with single leaf springs. I don't know if the gears are original or not but you can decipher the VIN and or data plate to get that information of what should be there. The headlight doors opened with the switch when I bought it last year but they do not open without help now, that said when you turn them off they close on there own. The top is soft, looks really good on the outside, couple of tears on the bow padding on the inside. Still keeps the water out but is also in need of replacement someday i. All gauges work including the Tic Toc Tac, except the temp gauge, it moves but not much. There is another temp gauge included with the parts lot but I don't know if it works either. This camaro is very fun to drive and I get lots of compliments on it in it's current condition, but since it is my car I know it needs cosmetic work. I would not be selling but I have only one garage space and my grandfather has now given me a low mileage 81 Trans AM. Only have 1 garage spot so.. this one has to go. Lastly, there is some rust, what little there is, is mostly surface and is pictured. The trunk is 90% of it but it is very solid. This car is a great daily driver, fun and runs great but like I said, it is in need of a total restoration. Again this car is not perfect cosmetically, runs and drives great but is in need of new paint and some trim pieces. It is a running, very drivable and fun, project that you will enjoy as much as I do. I have the original 2bl intake and carb, the original hood, a convertible boot cover, the original side mirrors and the original manual steering box that goes with. Would prefer pickup with cash or payment by cashiers and wait for it to clear. We can discuss the options.
