Vehicle Detail

Hello I have a 1979 Datsun 210 Wagon that I bought a couple of months ago. It has an Automatic with the A15 1488CC engine all Original, Manual Steering, Power Brakes, Manual Locks and Windows. It has under 142,664 actual Original Miles runs very strong well maintained. It is Orange in color but could use a new paint job, the car has some rust at the bottom of the doors but otherwise very solid, everything works in the car except the Heater Switch only works on High for some reason. The front seats are pretty worn out especially the Drivers Seat but the back seat is near Mint and there Fold Down and fully functional. Carpet is missing a little square on the drivers side otherwise almost perfect. The Brakes are great with newer pads and the tires were just changed recently and have alot of tread left they are 155/80 R13 from Les Schwabbs with paperwork. The wheels are original with all 4 factory hubcaps in great shape. The car has a new battery, Alternator, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs, Belts, various Vacuum Lines, Distributor, Radiator and Cap, Water Pump. The Datsun great and strong do over 70 MPH on the Freeway not a problem gets 26 to 28 MPG not a problem. The Only real Problem is the darn thing wont Idle as soon as you take your foot off the gas at a stop it dies. Some times it runs great but steadily it has gotten worse to where now it just wont stay running. The Drivers side Door Bushings are worn out to so when you open the door it sags and to close it you have to lift up on it. I was going to replace them for 12.95 off Ebay but it just seems like a waist of time with it not wanting to idle, very cheap and easy fix. I know it needs the tuneup finished and possibly either the carberatur rebuilt or replaced I'm not sure I'm just not good at diagnosing these little cars so it could be somethin real simple or could take a few hundred to fix. Either way I've got over a thousand into it and dont really want to put more into it without knowing where to start so my loss some one elses gain. Thank You for looking and have a Great Day.
