Vehicle Detail
This is being relisted due to a winning bidder who was unable to complete the transaction. Up for sale is my everyday driver and dependable 1994 Land Cruiser. I am the second owner, having purchased the vehicle from a friend in early 2004. I am moving cross country, and the transportation costs do not justify moving her. There is no reserve, so highest bid takes. Recent work done include: a complete top end rebuild (head, head gasket, thermostat, radiator, hoses, belts, etc.) and four brand new (<5000 miles) tires. Brakes and master cylinder new as well. The engine runs well, although as anyone knows who has driven LCs, the gas mileage can be pretty lousy. ISSUE 1: The truck has a faulty transmission, slipping between 2nd and 3rd gear. I had the transmission overhauled in January, but the problem remains. Mechanic thinks that it could be the computer, but is not sure. To be clear, the truck drives fine (I drive it every day, about 700 miles a month), but the skipping is audible and clear. Long term, this will need to be remedied, but I have been driving it like this for about 6 months. ISSUE 2: Additionally, I had a bad blowout recently, and a panel covering the lip of the rear back tire was ripped off. The pictures will show this clearly. A replacement is in the range of $200 (comes in two parts), and rivets into the body. Not a big fix. Other than that, the truck has standard wear for its age, including some faded paint on the roof, and other nicks and scratches. However, she has been an exceptionally dependable, and I really do hate to sell her. I am a serious seller, so please do not bid if you cannot pay quickly, and in full. I will require the auction winner to contact me 12 hours within the close of the auction, and to make a $500 deposit. Full payment is required in 48 hours. Thanks for looking, and please email me with any questions.
