This is a 1973 VW Thing. Has been owned by the same owner for the last 16 years. Has been stored in a garage for the last 10 years. Body is in great condition, very little rust, as seen in the pictures. Floors are good and solid; has had one patch in back by battery. Truck pan is solid as can be. Has four new tires; the reason there is 4 lug wheels on the front is because it has been converted to disc brakes. Top is weak, but usable. Still has original door glass, front wind shield folds down with no trouble, no rust under the windshield posts. Runs great and shifts smooth. Does not jump out of any gears. Motor is a 1776 with two, 2-barrel Webers. All electrical works; speedometer and radio are the only two things that do not work. This Thing is fun to cruise around in, I drove it about 100 miles today. The stitching in the front seats have dry-rotted; back seats are still good. Can restore or drive like it is.
