Vehicle Detail
In this auction we have a fantastic 1970 Triumph Bonneville T120R. This was the centerpiece of my deceased mechanic friend's garage and was his final project before he fell ill with cancer. This was a bike intended for his son and was ready for an easy full restoration. This is a bike that is ready to ride and has a clear title with matching frame and motor. You will not be disappointed in owning this machine and some of the final notes I took while conversing with my friend and seeing his final work are below. *Motor has new gaskets and seals *Sludge trap inside crankshaft has been disassembled and cleaned *Fresh rebored cylinder with new pistons and rings *Valves have been reseated *Amal carbs have been re-sleeved *Appears to have a new wiring harness. *Gauges appear to have been rebuilt (so mileage is unknown since the gauge and engine rebuild -- the mileage on the odomoter is not representative of the mileage since rebuild) *New battery with fresh gas and good oil -- this bike is ready to ride and shifts, idles, and starts easily (video available upon request) For my friend, this was a bike he worked on over time all the way up until his passing and was primarily a labor of love finished as a legacy for his son. His son opted to keep a different motorcycle due to sentimental reasons and now this is your chance to get a strong performing machine that was treated like a piece of functional art by the mechanic who put it together. While I was not there for the complete rebuild, and cannot answer to some details for the machine since the mechanic is deceased, the information above is what I was able to note in conversation and witness in his shop. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, however, and I will be glad to do what I can to answer them. Shipping, returns, and payment – Shipping is to be arranged by the seller. You can have a freight company pick it up or you can arrange to pick it up in person. Other options will need to be discussed ahead of time.I require a non refundable Paypal deposit of $200 within 24 hours of the close of the auction. If you bid on this, please be serious about your intention to buy. The final payment will be accepted as cash upon pickup or through a verified payment method within 7 days. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions prior to bidding or if you would have any requests for an alternate arrangement. Since we are dealing with vintage motorcycles, you are purchasing the bike as is with no warranty and no returns accepted at this time. Please see my feedback, however, and feel comfortable that you are getting what you are being shown as it was described. As always, if you have any questions or concerns prior to bidding please feel free to ask and I will contact you as soon as possible.
