1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic - ONE OWNER!! The below will explain EXACTLY what you will be getting: Reason For Selling: My work location has moved from Philadelphia to Delaware and the round trip is 120 miles & I switched to a car. The Jeep has never failed inspection and has a current insection good until 9-2012. The tires are like new with > 70% of the tread left. History: I got this Jeep in 1996 after I sold my 1984 Cherokee. I leased it and bought it after the lease was up. I am the only owner and have all the maintenance records, it has been WELL taken care of. The only "major" issue I had was the tranny, It was rebuilt in 2007 by Cottman Transmissions. The jeep is all stock. I have all the maintainance records back to 1996 that will show all the oil changes and preventative maintainance done to it. Note: The accident that is reported in the history was when someone hit me when they were trying to park next to me. The damage was minor. What it needs: 1 - Climate Control. The cable to adjust the air temp came off it and due to the plastic being brittle it broke and needs replacement. It blows cold air and can be set manually to heat/cold. They are E-Bay for @$28.00 used and are simple to change. 2 - The rear wiper squirts but it needs a new nipple.... right now it squirts at the car / person behind you. It's actually a nice "feature" during rush hour! Noises: Jeep squeaks when turning. It turns FINE. Rattle underneath. It's where the CAT meets the rear exhaust. It needs a new exhaust support. We had it taken care of once but the rattle has returned. LR Brake squeaks once in a while, brakes work FINE. Cosmetic: (see pics) The paint is faded in spots, not due to lack of care. Headliner needs to be re-glued, it is sagging. Some scratches and a small dent.
