The 1983 Mercedes 300SD was the best built 5cyl. diesel of all time. It is not unusual for these vehicles to reach the million mile mark. This 300SD is running extremley well, this car will cruise @ 90mph without any problem. This car is smooth, the transmission shifts very smoothly there are no leaks, no smoke & it runs cool. The AC compressor works but it does need a charge. The power windows all work, but the button for the right hand window sticks at times. With the exception of the drivers seat bottom & three cracks on the dash board, the interior is nice. The radio is not working, but it is the original becker. The paint is original & thin in multiple spots yet it is quite presentable. I see no door dings or dents anywhere & the tires are like new! This is an excellent running & driving car, really it is very impressive. These are getting harder & harder to find as they are known to be bullitproof. We feel this 300SD has a lot of life left. Just re-upholster the bottom of the drivers seat, get a dash cover & this car will look fine. Paint it and have a diamond as the boby is excellent & free of rust. We are Relaible Auto Sales with two locations one in Ventura Calif & one in Palm Springs Calif. This fine old Benz is at our Palm Springs location. If you are a Calif resident we will collect state sales tax as well as a $55.00 documentation fee & any lic fees due . If you live outside of Calif we will not collect for license.
