Up for sale is my 1983 BMW R100 with factory "S" fairing and guages. I bought it a little over 2 years ago and it has been very reliabile for me. I think I'm the third owner. The bike was well maintained when I got it but the carbs needed attention so I rebuilt them. It starts, stops and handles like a BMW should. Since I bought the bike I have done the following: Installed a Brown side stand, new bar end mirrors, lubed the splines for smooth shifting, rebuilt both carbs, installed new throttle cables, adjusted the valves every 1500 miles and changed the oil and filter every 1500 miles. This bike also has the following: BMW clock and voltmeter, BMW Krauser hard bags and mounts, Koni shocks, fork brace, BMW tool kit and owners manual. New Mitchlein Macadam tires front and rear about a couple hundred miles ago. Sealed battery is 2 years old. This bike NOT a show bike. It has a couple of minor dings, scratches and some light pitting on a few areas of the aluminum parts. The locking gas cap doesn't lock anymore. I would consider this bike as a "daily rider". I havn't ridden much lately due to a lower back condition. This is a classic, unrestored BMW in good rideable condition. If you're looking for a "show bike" look elsewhere but if you are looking for a daily rider or a bike to load up to go on a trip anywhere then this is the bike for you! I would not hesitate to ride it anywhere.
