1978 Pontiac Firebird Esprit, 128,230 original miles. OK … tires and brakes new (front) or close (rear). 5K/10K on front/rear tires, front/rear pads new/13K, rotors adjusted 1 month ago. This car has consistently been maintained in original condition. The car is safe, clean, and fun to drive, powerful (chirps off the line), no noises or rattling, smooth ride. I take friends out in it for Friday and Saturday night cruises. Starting price and reserve from original listing have been lowered, serious buyers only, no car swapping. It was purchased from the original owner four years ago. It is a southern California car and was always garage kept. Paint is original and still has most of its sheen – very few minor spots of surface rust. Seat covers are original and in decent shape. Engine is original 350 V8, dual exhaust, with an automatic transmission. Car drives strong and shifts nicely. Original wheels. Esprit model comes with power windows (work great). From the extensive maintenance records and receipts from the original owner, I know the carb was replaced in the mid 1990’s when it also received a valve job. When I bought the car two years ago I had the oil pan, transmission, and differential (recently) gaskets all replaced, the car does not leak fluid. The A/C compressor was replaced as well last year and is currently working, however, as of two months ago the fan motor only runs intermittently. I’ve put 11,000 miles on it in two years, drive it 3-4 times a day, and it starts right up every time and runs perfectly. Why am I selling? I am taking on a new job in 4 months with a 90 mile round trip commute. Prefer a cashiers check within three days of purchase. Buyer needs to arrange shipping but I am willing to help any way I can.
