trainman24 Store 1998 Jaguar XJ8I've driven this Jaguar for several years without any issues. One day the transmission fault display came on. According to the service technician it is an $1800 repair. Time for me to move on to another car and find a new home for this one. Car still runs and drives but transmission doesn't shift, so it starts out quite slowly even though you can hit highway speeds without much issue. Paint in good shape except for a couple scrapes, as shown in photos. Driver's seat is worn, but otherwise the rest of the interior is presentable. All operating systems work fine. AC blows cold, DVD and stereo work fine. All operating systems perform as expected. Clear NJ title with inspection through next year. I purchased this car on ebay from a Boston attorney. Car came with an R title because of extensive cosmetic incident with a hefty insurance repair bill. Car was processed through NJ inspection without any issue. Check engine light occasionally comes on and then goes out on its own. Current mileage is 125,000.
