This is a nice 42 Ford ton and a half. The engine is good the tranny is bad however I have a replacement tranny for it. The engine is a 53 flathead V8. This puts the distributor on top not down behind the fan. Lots easier to work on. The brakes will need the cylinders rebuilt because it has sat for 10 plus years. It is really a good solid truck and a great candidate for total restoration. It's an eastern Washington truck so if there is rust it's at a minimum. The engine was overhauled by a professional shortly before it was parked. I haven't started it but there is no reason that it would not still be in good shape. This truck comes with a clear Washington State title. The odometer reads 26744 however I must assume there is a #1 before that. I am a member of the American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) and I bought the truck to restore. I have only 6 other trucks ahead of this one and I ain't gettin' any younger so it's got to go. I will include with the purchase of this truck a one years membership in the ATHS for the winning bidder. If the winning bidder is already a member then I will donate $50 of the winning bid to the ATHS. I will set a low starting bid and I will not set a reserve.
