Vehicle Detail

1988 Firebird Formula with 5.0 Liter, 5-Speed looking for new owner. I’ve been in a relationship with my original owner after being purchased new by him on December 30, 1988. His son is turning 16 in a few weeks and he must let me go as neither of us dare think what could become of me in the hands of his son. I’ve been loved my entire life and look today as good as I did the day I left the showroom. I’ve been garaged for life and always hand washed. He just can’t keep his hands off of me. If you’re the jealous type look elsewhere as every place you go I get looks and nice comments. No, you don’t see many like me on the road. I had a face lift in 1998 with Glazareth paint back to original color, as my GM paint was getting hurt by the sun. My front seats and headliner were replaced about 5 years ago back to OEM. I’ve had my oil and filter changed every 3,000 miles, and I always get a new AC/Delco filter. I drive as nice as I look. Yes, I’m a real driver’s car with a 5 speed. The transmission, clutch, and throw out bearings all have less than 6K miles. I’ve been a daily driver for life, but the last two years not so much every day. I have a mostly highway 240K on me. I still purr like a kitten. I always put a smile on the driver face! My owner and I wish the winning bidder to be as happy as possible when the deal is done. My owner took me to a mechanic to find things that need attention. My electric headlights are not raising on electric power at the moment, that do manually. My stereo needs attention, the power switch does not stay pressed in on its own, all the speakers do not work, and it sometimes has problems finding channels. If you can still find a cassette I don’t think it will play. The passenger window has a track issue. The center console has a two inch cut as seen in one picture. I’m due for a tune up complete with plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. I have a few leaks, valve covers, power steering hose A/C compressor, and oil pressure sender. I need a new exhaust hanger at rear of transition. My driver’s door needs a hinge and striker. All doors open and close well. My coolant hoses are not great and my thermostat housing gasket seeps. My oil plug is oversized dating back to my first oil change, thank you Jiffy Lube! My front and rear sway bar links need to be replaced. My lower ball joints have play. The A/C does not blow cold air as the Freon leaked out from the above leak. I’ve tried to include all known issues in the above. I’ve never been wrecked, and always been dependable. I’ll be an antique soon and my value should increase. Feel free to ask any question as I would like to bring you all the joy my current owner has come to expect. I’ve be available for an in person look. Drop a line for details. Feel free to ask any question. The ad will be updated with any that might be of interest to all bidders. If you’d like a call back send phone number with the best time to call. If I’m not all you felt I should be in this ad you will not be forced to buy. Please complete the deal ASAP. If you might have any problems picking up or with terms please contact my owner before bidding. Otherwise we should know each other well within a few days of auction close. Thanks for looks and good luck bidding!
