Vehicle Detail
erikgjhc store 1956 Volkswagen VW Bug Beetle Oval 1956 Oval window hardtop. California car, only been out of Cali, in Texas, for less than a year All original body panels. Never been welded on, nor does it need it. All 4 fenders, doors, hood, decklid etc are original to the car. Only not original to the car are the tail lights, but they have a good patina match The car is a true survivor, it sat inside, for many many years without paint, causing the whole car to be covered in suface rust. This was then wet sanded down to make it smooth, and clear coated. Don't mistake it for being rusty. There is not one rust hole, the pan is in great condition, heater channels, door botoms, etc. It is an awesome look, you will never see another one like it. Everybody, and I mean everybody loves this car. If thats not your style, it is the perfect candidate for a full resto. it has a few small dents and dings, but the car is solid. No need for thousands of dollars in rust repair Lowered one spline in the rear, Adjustable narrowed beam in the front. It has shock towers, but I am running shockless. 1958 style front brakes installed so you can run drop spindles 5 empi BRM's with 4 brand new tires. 1 rim has some curb rash 36hp motor, starts right up. It's not fast, but is suprisingly quick for 36. Newer seat covers This car is a driver. I've fixed any issues that I've been made aware of, I've driven it long distances on the freeway, I even drove it downtown to show it off last night. It does need a new battery, I will supply a brand new one to the new owner. I have a clean Texas title in hand, with 1956 Texas Plates registered to the car. I do regularly drive the car, it's registered and fully insured in the great state of Texas. The windshield is cracked, it is a lowered volkswagen and does not drive like a Cadillac. This is an old car. I do drive it regularly, but no warranties or guarantees specified or implied. It is with great regret that I put this car up for sale. I'm only selling to help put a decent down payment on a house Really, all it needs is a new owner. Because of the originality and condition, it would make a great resto candidate, but I just can't do it, it looks so freaking cool as is. I can get it to the port of houston for any oversea's buyers, I do have a truck and can deliver it to Dallas/Austin/AZ/NM/LA for a fee, but must be paid 100% in full before I do so. I do have some contacts that can get the car from Houston to the West Coast for a good price, and I will help facilitate shipping anywhere in the world at your dime You wont find a more solid oval in Texas anywhere near this price.
