We have a 2009 Ford Escape, XLT with low mileage. We are the original owners and have loved this vehicle! Unfortunitally our family has outgrown it and that is the only reason we have decided to sell it. It has leather interior, bluetooth, SYNC hands free (this is wonderful for talking on the phone while driviing, it will also read your texts) and a USB port, 3.3mm round jack to connect any kind of music you like. When we bought it the only thing keeping this from being a LImited was a crome strip front bumper and another crome strip that would go on the roof rack. We decided an extra $2000 for those options were not worth it. Also we had a category blizzard here in Missouri last winter and the Escape got around great in the snow. We also decided not to get the 4 wheel drive option 1. due to it was already front wheel drive (all the weight is up front anyway) 2. the cost of maintaining the extra componets during service times. 3. It would get less fuel economy due to spinning parts/ weight. 4. We would only use it a few times during the year. 5. If we did get stuck with no weight in the rear how likely would it be that it would be of great help anyway. While driving on the highway at 65-70 mi/hr we are able to reach 30 mi/gal!!! It's incredible for an SUV like this to get such good mileage. It has a 3.0L V6 engine. Ford has had this base engine design since the 80's! They continue to build vehicles with this engine because it has such a great track record. I am also a certified Ford Master and ASE master Technician. The reason we chose this car and engine combo is because it is rarely seen in the shop. Bottom line-these engines rarely have any kind of problems. I even talked my own Mom into buying one of these. It still has a factory warranty until 36K should anything go wrong, but I would bet the farm it will not. This is a GREAT family vehicle that is very spacious. Ample room in the back to store things, go on vacation, put groceries. There is also a pull-out mat so you can hide something from kids (christmas presents) or have extra space to put light objects on top. See the picture. Also has a keyless entry. Use a code to get in and out and never worry about locking your keys in your car! Enjoy the sunroof on days with nice weather. This really has been a wonderful vehicle for us. It rides smooth, is very comfortable, and has all the fun extra features to make it a superb vehicle to drive! The Body and interior in this vechicle are as close as you will get to buying a new one but saving THOUSANDS off from driving it off the lot.
