Hello, I purchased this motorcycle new from Chapparal Motorsports in San Bernadino, CA while I was in the Military, It was used for light/moderate street transportation and offroad adventuring. I carried out all the maintenence on this motorcycle, utilized all factory recommended Honda lubricants such as HP4 engine oil Honda engine coolant and Honda oil filters, utilized Honda service literature, followed Honda Factory service intervals and I am a career mechanic that installed the Baja Designs kit, Lubricated the chassis and performed all preventitive maintenences at 500 mile intervals. This motorcycle has some "battle scars" expected of a vehicle of its type, there are various scratches, dings, wear and tear of various items. The left side of the bike took a hit by another motorcycle resulting a "bent" left radiator and damaged airbox, also the rear fender damaged from a hillclimb flip-over, left side of handlebars bent. It was not Babied, but it was not abused either. It will require new 520 chain and sprockets because it still has the O.E.M. chain and sprockets that are at the end of their service life. It will be sold with the following items: Clear California DMV Title/ Clear Off-highway Green sticker original "Baja Designs" conversion installation instructions from kit for reference o.e.m. headlight assembly o.e.m. exaust system an aluminum loading ramp size 12 Hi-point riding boots new white Bell motorcycle helmet w/ storage bag (Moto 7-R) aprox. 5 riding sessions used Fox gloves used Thor kidney belt used Scott goggles (bad sealing foam) various maintenence items (chainlube, HP engine coolant, GP4 engine oil w/ filter, o.e.m. tool bag) Honda O.E.M. service manual original non-DOT approved front tire (new) small items removed from the conversion process Also this motorcycle has an aftermarket exaust system made by "BIG GUN" which increased its power substantially. It also comes with an interchangeable spark arrester core The current tires are D.O.T. approved for street service and are in serviceable condition Motorcyle now has current California Registration- Off highway to 2013 On-Highway to Sept 2012 Full tank of Premium fuel Motorcycle has been test ridden aprox. 100 miles (one tank of fuel) on-highway since re-registration Note: this bike is Kick-Start, no electric push button. This XR650R verision is aprox. 50 lbs lighter than a XR650L which has an electric start option. The chain gearing is 14- primary, 48 rear. This Is "Dirt" gearing and will Cruise on the Highway at aprox 55-60 MPH Higher speeds will require different Chain/ Sprocket ratios. This bike is not a beginners bike.
