6 cylinder coupe, black with tan hydes. Just driven to Kansas City from Alabama, had been a daily driver there until June. Looks stunning in the photos, and looks great going down the road, but you can see the wear and blemishes in person. 20-footer to 50-footer, really. The good: runs great, gets 20+ mpg, recent water pump and hoses (was leaking, never overheated), has been reliable. The bad: A/C is out, paint faded on the top and the boot, clearcoat off in spots on the hood, broken right tail lamp, rust bubble on lower front fender, rust bubble below driver's windscreen, parking lot dent on left rear bumper spear and into fender, hydes cracked on the front seats, front carpet worn out, low coolant light has a mind of it's own, check engine light goes on and off occasionally (off now), smokes a bit at start, probably valve guide seals. You get the idea. Only 109,000 miles and a clear title. Has the Jag rear-end with inboard brakes (94 and up didn't have inboard brakes.) It ain't perfect, but you can drive it home, and it looks good going down the road. I bought a low mileage XJS recently, rather than repair this one. Just don't have time for a project. I don't know if this a a project, a daily driver, a parts car, or if someone should paint it orange metallic and put 22's on it. I'd rather just keep it than waste time hassling with someone, so please don't bother unless you are serious. For someone wanting one of these - and a lot of people really want the 6 cylinder coupe - I hope this is the opportunity they were waiting for.
