Up for auction is a white 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 with top-of-the-line Cummins Diesel engine and double-wide axle "Dually." (A Dually is a truck with a heavy duty rear end, and 4 wheels on the rear axle alone.) Following are some of the truck's features: Clean title, Best Cummins Diesel Engine, Dually, Automatic, Extended Cab, Tow hitch, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Dual Airbags, AC, Heat, Radio/CD player, Cloth interior, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Power Seats, Power Mirrors and Power Door Locks with Remote Control. The truck belonged to my late father who took excellent care of it, but lately it has had issues with the automatic shift so my mother took it in to the mechanic. She was told that the transmission will have to be rebuilt, and the mechanic quoted her $1800 for the work. My mother has decided that she would rather take $2000 off of the asking price and have the next owner fix it, so we are listing the truck in "as-is condition" for $6500 (instead of the $8500 we were originally hoping to get for it). My parents actually only put 8000 miles on the truck annually, and they bought it 5 years ago for $12,500 so we are basically selling it for half price. The truck has 173k original miles on it, and we believe that it is fairly priced because we are honest people, and because the mechanic said that aside from the transmission, the engine is very strong and runs great, and everything else on the truck is mechanically sound. There are some dings and scratches on the outside (please see photos) but it is a used truck after all, for a very low price! The title does state that this is commercial truck, but it is drivable with a regular Class C license, and my parents never used it commercially; they purchased it for personal use (like hauling building supplies from Home Depot.) Right now, as always, the powerful and top-of-the-line Cummins diesel engine starts up instantly, but currently the truck only gets up to 25 to 30 miles per hour because of the transmission. But we have seen other 2000 Dodge RAMs on eBay with similar mileage for over $10,000 so even with the required fixing of the transmission, this is a DEAL!
