This is a One owner locally owned 1980 Volvo 240 diesel GL wagon equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission plus electronic overdrive. First I must stress this car is in the best condition I've ever seen a Volvo 240 by far. Everything on this car is 100% original and car is in total stock condition. Anyone including a demanding judge at a competition would call this car a 10 both in and out. I strongly recommend anyone serious about buying this car coming to see this vehicle, you won't believe it until you see it. First the exterior of this car. The exterior is finished in a lighter pastel blue which is the original color. Front to back the exterior is beautiful. There is positively no rust on this cars body. Original mudflaps are in place as well as original roof rack is in place. The tires are two michelin in back and some type of older Euro brand in front. All tires are in good shape but look approx 50% worn. The factory wheels are all perfect. Front and back bumpers are great as well as all moldings. Overall this 240's exterior is in put it in a Volvo showroom condition. Next the interior. Overall the interior is unreal, perfect in every way. All seating is perfect. The dash looks new as well as all rugs and headliner of car. Door panels on all four doors clean and perfect not broken plastic usually found on door storage areas. The power locks all operate fine. Rear cargo area is very clean and spare tire and jack are all in place. The original AM/FM radio operates fine and sounds great. I have all orignal books and three keys and original Volvo keychain. The original unused lighter is in place too. The gauges all illuminate and operate fine. Overall the interior is like a museum piece, clean and totally original. Finally the mechanics of the car. This car starts right up with no issues at all. Their was a newer Diehard battery recently installed. Under the hood is quite clean and everything is very original. Under the car is very clean and their is positively no rust issues at all. Their is not just not any issues, their was never any issues. This car was very well preserved. Their is NO rust repair anywhere on this car. The four speed manual transmission shifts through all gears great. The electronic overdrive located on the shifter knob also operates fine and is very useful on the highway to maximize your 40+ MPG. The clutch grabs fine and brakes and suspension were all safety inspected and are fine. Overall this car looks,runs and drives wonderful and would be great for a Volvo collector, diesel vehicle enthusiast or a Volvo 240 lover. Because when it comes to Volvo 240's this is the cream of the crop hands down best I've ever seen!!
