I bought this truck in 1987 in Sedalia MO when we were living in Southern Iowa. My son and I used it for camping and exploring in the area. We discovered that the gas tank had rusted and caused the carburetor to get clogged. We rebuilt the carb and added an inline filter and continued to use the truck. When my son went to college my wife and I moved to Idaho and towed the truck out here and put it in storage for 18 years. I had intended to do a restoration but am a guitar maker and have been busy all these years. So I'm letting the truck go to someone who is capable of getting her back to original. The truck is in good condition. I believe everything is original. The rust on the body is on the surface and as far as I know there is no serious corrosion or rot. The lower corner panels are not rusted. There is a dent on the back of the cab, drivers side. When I put her in storage I removed the spark plugs and sprayed LPS #3 into the cylinder chambers then put the plugs back in. LPS #3 is a metal protector of the highest caliber. I bought new tires in '87 and they're still on the truck and are in good condition. There have been no modifications to the truck. It has a 4 speed manual transmission with the "granny low". I was told, at the time of purchase, that it's a "heavy half". I don't know what that means. I think the suspension might be beefed up and that's why it's called that. It's being sold "As Is". It is not running at this time. I'm sure that if a new tank were put it and the gas lines cleaned out that it would run just fine. My hope is that someone who is capable and knowledgeable will bring this old truck back to life. Please ask me any questions. Thank you, and best of luck! Stephen
