This is a fabulous MG that would make any novice smile. I laid out a lot of my time, patience and finances to make this car what it is today. It is still not an letter perfect car, but a real head turner just the same. This automobile demands the attention of the general public - and gets it.... I have five cars and I am a single male who is employed as a pilot flying the 747 for a cargo airline... I like my engines to run at top efficiency & performance - so I stay all over them with a strict matainance program. I always change my oil in my cars at 2000 mile intervals...This engine has been rebuilt from the head up. It occasionally blows smoke but this is more of an MG thing than anything else. THE ENGINE: New battery (7/22/10) New aluminum head & valves - new timing chain - new distributor - new electronic ignition - new Weber carb - new brake cylinder - new headers. THE BODY: is outstanding and so is tthe frame. truly rock solid. Ocasional nicks and scrathes plus a paint blemish on the hood of the car is hard to see unless you are looking for it. No rust except some minor skin blemishes in the engine compartment. It has a new top which now has a "slice" in it and I have a brand new top in the box that transitions to the new owner. I had the rims completely sanded down and repainted. They have new beauty rims as well as brand new radials (5) that have less than 300 miles on them...The bumpers were removed and sanded as well and repainted a beautiful color of black. Many of the lenses were removed and replaced. The front end was completely redone and most parts were powder coated black... Shoulder harness seat belts were added when I installed the padded rollbar... INTERIOR: Brand new black interior seat cushions. New carpeting TRANSMISSION: Brand new clutch assembly. This car has OVERDRIVE and yes it works... BRAKES: The brakes are good all around on this automobile. On a scale of 1 - 10, I rate this car as an 8 1/2 to a 9. The heat controls do not work and neither does the fluid for the wipers. I have all receipts for the automobile. The car has approx.150,000 on it. All work was completed on this car within the last two years... I purchased it from a California individual who was the second owner. Call if you have any questions. I hate to see her go.
