Vehicle Detail
The Toyota Pickup. It's very name inspires nostalgia. It's not called a Sierra, Tacoma, Ridgeline, S1500, F-150... Its name is indicative of its purpose, nothing more, nothing less. It was in continuous production for over 30 years with little modification. It has fought in wars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_War) and was proven by the weighty specialists of Top Gear to be nigh indestructible. This '87 Toyota, as you can probably already tell by this point, is up for enlistment. This warrior was rescued from its original owner with good haste. Now the battles I fight are of a different nature, with other soldiers in ready use. Honorable discharge from my army and enlistment into yours is in the offing. Some would say their prissy truck-like vehicles exude manliness, festooned with excessive adornments, raised off the ground, wearing pretty looking off-road tires that have never seen the dirt. Not so with this pickup. This is a truly manly vehicle. Its inline 4 cylinder engine bellows manliness as you shift its 4-speed manual transmission to gear. It is carbureted; fuel injectors belong on diesels fool. You will not need the A/C as it will not work in its current state; even so, if you need such things in California you are not a man. If you fear like something less than a man, it does blow warm should your "tootsies" get cold. The gleaming white exterior will blind your enemies. Your premium Kenwood sound system with Clarion speakers will trumpet your war hymns to strike your foes deep with dread before you roll them straight over. Slay your enemies. Drive them before you. Take their women and place them in the back so that you may listen to their dirge-like lamentations. Even pillage can be accomplished with utility. Why settle for less? Enlist the Pickup! Recent Work/Upgrades During Stewardship of Vehicle: New paint (original color of the vehicle) New Stereo New Radiator New Rear Bumper (yes, this car is so manly even this was an option when it rolled off the sales floor) New Muffler New KLG spark plugs (this last month) Front and rear brake service (this last month) Engine Timing (this last month) Assiduously Maintained (Oil Changes, Rear Differential Fluid Change, Transmission Fluid Change, Fuel Filter Change) I even purchased the some of the last dealer held black plastic louvers which were recently installed for the sides of the vehicle. You know you want it. Four new tires, recent alignment, and did I mention that it only has 113k miles on it?
