Up forsale is rare muscle car from the hey day, 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner,this car was designed to go 100 mph in 1/4 for under $3,000 in 1969 which it did. If you stepped up you could get the A-12 '69 1/2 440 6 pack version with a fiberglass lift off hood with scoop or get the fastest production engine combo the HEMI Roadrunner. The neat thing about the roadrunner it is a pure muscle car with no frills, however this one is somewhat rare with A/C option and power steering. Fender Tag Decoded- in the picture section with a legible picture of the tag. This Roadrunner VIN#RM23H9G291664 came factory with 4 barrel 383 HPci Big Block, 727 Torque flight, Auto trans , 8 3/4 Sure Grip differential ( single track only now). The story is this car was always in Southeatern Oklahoma and side swiped in '73 ( last year on the road) it sat for many years with its engine and transmission gone. The fender tag is still present however I have not decoded it yet ( see pics). The body is very solid and has nice floor pans, nice rockers, and rear quarters are rust free. I did see a little rust bubles on the drivers quarter above the wheel well ( see pictures). The trunk floor will need to be replaced as most Mopars, but it does not need ANY OTHER RUST repair anywhere. I have installed a new door , front fender, and original Roadrunner hood on the car. The door and fender fit very well and door opens and closes easily. The front fender is a '68, however I removed the inner fender brace from the '69 donor and attached it to the '68 which is the main difference, so visually they look the same now. I also cut out the rectangular turn signal out so it can be welded in place of the round one on the '68 fender ( see picture). The orignal hood has a hole cut in it for a blower or tunnel ram, but I have donor hood that comes with the car to repair it. The Hood shuts and opes nicely with good hood springs. The passenger quarter panel has a crease in it but I think it could dollied out or reskinned ( skins are available as well through AMD here on ebay). I have the original 383 call out bulge hood, but it has a hole cut for a tunnel ram and I have another satellite hood to use to repair this one. The only glass it has is the drivers door and the passenger quarter window, all the other glass is broken out. The car looks worse than it is and with the door and new fender installed it would be a very nice solid Rust Free car to start with. I wanted to keep this one and build a 440 6 pack clone but I have way too many projects. These '69 Roadrunners are very rare cars and do not come avaialble very often. If you search the internet you will find that this car restored is in the $35,000-$40,000 range and few years ago they were closer to $50,000 restored.
